Artist's Statement

An avid collector, I commenced with a collection of things that “might be useful”.  I had no  idea how they would work together, how many I would use, and how many I would cast aside.

I started thinking about secrets.  How they hold you, sometimes as a fleeting memory, others in the jaws of a vice. We have our own secrets and we hold secrets for others. Things that are withheld, stored away, locked in special places. I thought about the vessels they could be kept in, and how they could be held securely. These pieces are the results of those thoughts.
