Artist's statement
MAUREEN BANFIELD HAMLIN is a painter and printmaker who works in a range of media.
I paint from imagination, drawing from memories and experiences. I find an appropriate combination of paint, print and collage, to create the image that reflects my thoughts. The inspirations are various, and expressed in different colours and lights.
I have had one-person shows in Chicago, and various venues in the UK. I have work in private collections worldwide.
